A Westfield resident since 2017, Erica co-founded Project Playground due to her personal experience as a parent of a child with a physical disability. For this reason, the success and growth of Project Playground has been very rewarding for Erica and her family. Erica also serves as a Board Trustee with The Westfield United Fund and as the Vice President of the Franklin School PTO.

Laura Skidmore is a Westfield resident of nearly 10 years and has two boys at Franklin Elementary. She is an attorney in the field of special education, an author of children’s fiction, and a community volunteer. In 2022, Laura established herself as a co-chair of Project Playground’s inaugural launch at Lincoln School, and she continued

She is an attorney in the field of special education, an author of children’s fiction, and a community volunteer. In 2022, Laura established herself as a co-chair of Project Playground’s inaugural launch at Lincoln School, and she continued as a co-chair at Franklin School Project Playground. She is on the board of the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library, a part of the Franklin School PTO, and a guide at Achilles.

Reema is a physical therapist, professor, and co-founder of Project Playground, which she launched alongside Erica and Laura in 2022 at Lincoln School. A Westfield resident for four years, Reema has a deep passion for increasing accessibility and mobility within the town. She brings this same dedication to her teaching, clinical work, and community initiatives, striving to create inclusive spaces that support children’s development and well-being.

Katelynn Leemhuis is a proud Westfield resident, mom of three, and local real estate professional dedicated to building an inclusive, welcoming community where all children feel supported and celebrated. She is honored to serve as the Project/School Lead for McKinley Elementary and help create playgrounds that bring families together and support children of all abilities.

Carolyn DeGoria is a Westfield resident and mom of twins who is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for children. As a physical therapist, she brings a unique perspective on incorporating elements that support children at every stage of development and help ensure they are welcoming and usable for all children. Megan is a real estate agent with Corcoran and the PTO President of Wilson School. When not at work, Megan is out and about volunteering at her kids’ schools, playing tennis, and spending quality time with friends and family. Megan is an alumna of Johns Hopkins University (Civil Engineering) and Boston University (MBA). After transitioni

Megan is an alumna of Johns Hopkins University (Civil Engineering) and Boston University (MBA). After transitioning away from urban Hoboken with her young family, she now lives in suburban Westfield with her husband and 4 children.

Sarah is a parent of two boys, including a 1st grader at Tamaques Elementary School and a Tamaques graduate. She has spent 25 years at Merck in the pharmaceutical industry and has been a Westfield resident since 2020. She was proud to be part of the inaugural Project Playground installation at Lincoln School. Sarah’s connection to Project
Sarah is a parent of two boys, including a 1st grader at Tamaques Elementary School and a Tamaques graduate. She has spent 25 years at Merck in the pharmaceutical industry and has been a Westfield resident since 2020. She was proud to be part of the inaugural Project Playground installation at Lincoln School. Sarah’s connection to Project Playground is personal, shaped by her family and her firsthand experience with the importance of inclusive, accessible spaces. She is honored to support the organization’s mission to create playgrounds where every child—and every family—feels welcome and able to participate.

Lisa is a parent at Tamaques Elementary School. She has one daughter currently in 4th grade and her older daughter is a proud Tamaques graduate. Professionally she has 15 years of experience as a practicing occupational therapist, working with clients of all ages and diagnoses. Her current position is a professor of Occupational Therapy at Seton Hall University.

Merisa is a member of the Tamaques PTO Board and has two sons at the school in 2nd and 4th grade. In her professional life, she is a Publicist at Sony Pictures. She also holds a position on the Board of Temple Emanu-El of Westfield.
